Live Oak’s tomatoes and peppers are transported to our three packing houses in Le Grand, where all are handled under stringent Good Agricultural Standards and in full compliance of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). Many of our packinghouse employees have been with us for twenty years or longer.  Tomatoes are hand inspected for quality, sized, then packed. Bell peppers are hand inspected, then scanned for quality, defects, and sizing using Aweta’s Advanced Vision 3D optical grading system.  USDA trained inspectors ensure that our quality is consistent throughout the season. Our sales and operational team members are activity involved in our quality assurance program.
